Ram 1500 trucks are also available with the 3.0-liter Hurricane engine that produces 420 horsepower and 469 pound-feet of torque or the High-Output 3.0-liter Hurricane engine that produces 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque. In comparison, the Ram 2500 offers two engine options, including a standard 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 with 410 horsepower and 429 pound-feet of torque or an available High-Output 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel with 430 horsepower and 1,075 pound-feet of torque.
Capability
When it comes to working hard and playing harder, the Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 exceed expectations. Ram 1500 trucks offer up to 2,370 pounds of payload capacity with the 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 engine or up to 11,550 pounds of towing capacity with the 3.0-liter Hurricane engine. In comparison, the Ram 2500 delivers true heavy-duty capability with up to 3,970 pounds of payload capacity using the 6.4-liter HEMI® V8 engine or up to 20,000 pounds of towing capacity with the available High-Output 6.7-liter Cummins® Turbo Diesel.
Off-Roading
Enjoy exploring the outdoors or conquering trails in the hill country? Ram 1500 trucks are available in the trail-ready Warlock trim with 33-inch all-terrain tires, e-locker rear axle, underbody skid plates, and a 1.0-inch raised suspension system. Ram 1500 models are also available in the Rebel® trim with 9.7 inches of ground clearance or the RHO that features a Bilsten® Black Hawk® e2 Shock System and 35-inch all-terrain tires. While the Ram 2500 might not have the same off-road prowess as the Ram 1500, you'll still be able to explore trims like the Power Wagon® with a class-exclusive electronic locking front differential and electronic disconnecting front sway bar or the Rebel® with a rear e-locker differential and Bilstein® gas-charged shocks system that integrates perfectly with a five-link coil rear suspension system.
Comfort
Inside the cabin, the Ram 1500 and Ram 2500 are both available with seating for up to six people, work-grade vinyl upholstery, and plenty of interior storage pockets. Both models are also available with remote start functionality, leather upholstery, and heated and ventilated front seats for year-round comfort. However, the Ram 1500 Tungsten takes luxury to new heights with 24-way power-adjustable front seats with massage functionality and reclining rear seats that provide best-in-class legroom.
Technology
