2. Enchanted Rock

Enchanted Rock is located at 16710 Ranch Road 965, two hours north of Devine, but even with directions, as soon as you enter the vicinity of this natural area, you definitely won’t miss it. This park features 11 miles of trails, including the popular Summit Trail, which leads straight up Enchanted Rock.

The area has plenty of scenic views of the surrounding Hill Country below. You can find trail updates on the state park website, and if you go in the summer, plan your hike for early or later in the day and bring plenty of water because all the trails are in full sun.

3. Guadalupe River State Park.

Guadalupe River State Park is located at 3350 Park Road 31 in Spring Branch, TX, an hour’s drive northeast of Devine. Here you can choose from 13 miles of hiking and biking trails and then spend time tubing or kayaking the river to cool off after your hike. The .03-mile River Overlook Trail provides the most scenic and up-close river views.
