Trims

Both the 2023 RAM 1500 and the 2023 Chevy Silverado have ample trim levels to choose from. The RAM 1500 has eight trims, which are the Limited, Limited Longhorn, Rebel, Laramie, Big Horn, Tradesman, Tradesman HFE, and TRX. Similarly, the Chevy Silverado has the Custom, Custom Trail Boss, High Country, LT, LT Trail Boss, LTZ, RST, Work Truck, and ZR2.

Engines

While it depends on which trim level you get, RAM offers four available engine choices with the 2023 RAM 1500. These engines are the 5.7-liter Hemi engine, the 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6, the 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V-6, and the supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V-8. The 2023 Chevy Silverado only comes with three available engine choices, which are the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8, the 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V-8, and the Duramax 3.0-liter Turbo-Diesel engine. The highest the RAM 1500 can offer in terms of horsepower is 702, while the highest the Silverado goes is only 420 horsepower.

Handling and Suspension

The 2023 RAM 1500 comes with an active air dam to help reduce drag as you approach a specific speed. It also comes with an available Active-Level Four Corner Air Suspension system to further increase efficiency when driving. The Silverado lacks these RAM-specific features, which causes it to fall short in terms of handling and suspension.

Thanks to its superior power and suspension system, the 2023 RAM 1500 wins out over the 2023 Chevy Silverado.
