Trims

Both the 2023 Charger and 2023 Mustang lineups offer a wide array of trims. The Dodge Charger offers seven trim levels that start off with the impressive base model, the SXT. On the Mustang side, there are nine trim options with the Ecoboost Fastback as the base model. It's worth mentioning that Ford offers additional trim options, but three of those are just convertible options of existing trims.

Performance

The supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI High-Output SRT V-8 engine in the Dodge SRT Hellcat Redeye Jailbreak trim offers 807 hp and 707 lb-ft of torque. It's made for the drag strip with its launch assist and launch control sensors allowing the perfect start. There's also a race cool-down function that protects the engine. The highest performing engine option in the Mustang's lineup, on the other hand, is the 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V-8 engine with a maximum power output of 450 hp and 410 lb-ft of torque.

Owning More Than Just Muscle

While the 2023 Ford Mustang might be a strong contender in its class, it's obvious that the 2023 Dodge Charger has created a class of its own and is the clear winner between the two.
